The base station receives and processes signals from Hanwell radio and wired sensors. These sensors communicate at regular short intervals with the CR2, which logs and stores the data pending transfer to a PC for analysis and archival storage.

The RL4601 is a three channel transmitter that clamps directly to a 0-120amp cable using the current clamp without any interference with mains connectivity. The clamp simply hooks around the cable and picks up the energy use and feeds this through the transmitter.
